If we don’t receive a reply by 5pm ET, we’ll send follow up messages and escalate by texting your chosen contact (up to two times) to let them know we haven’t heard back.
This service is meant to provide added reassurance and awareness, while keeping things simple and non intrusive. For urgent or emergency situations, we always recommend using dedicated emergency services.
Terms of Service Summary & Safety Disclosure
Morning Companion is designed to help you or your loved one stay active, connected, and accounted for. Please read carefully this summary explains what the service is, what it isn’t, and important safety information.
1. Nature of Service
Morning Companion is a wellness and daily check in service.
It is not a medical device, emergency response system, or substitute for 911 or other emergency services.
If a user is unable to respond due to an emergency, our system provides a delayed follow up not real-time intervention.
2. Non Response & Escalation (Family Connect)
If a user does not respond, we will attempt follow ups. On the Family Connect plan, if there is still no response, we will escalate by contacting the designated person up to two times within a reasonable timeframe.
Please note: delivery and response times may be affected by phone settings (like Do Not Disturb), service outages, or incorrect contact information.
3. No Guarantee of Delivery
Morning Companion relies on SMS delivery. While we make every effort to send messages, we cannot guarantee they will be delivered or received.
4. Movement & Wellness Disclaimer
All suggested movements are gentle and intended for general wellness.
Users should skip any movement that causes pain or discomfort and consult a healthcare provider if needed. Participation is voluntary and at the user’s own risk.
5. Privacy & Data
We respect your privacy.
We do not sell user data. Check-in responses and related information are used solely to provide the service and, if necessary, trigger follow-ups or escalation messages.
6. User Responsibilities
• Keep contact information up to date.
• Ensure that the person being checked on has consented to participate.
• Understand that this service adds a layer of awareness and reassurance, but does not replace personal supervision or emergency response services.
